It starts with a family mystery.

35 years ago William Casperstone gave his son a stuffed lion, a colorful creature with a strong heart to encouraging him through a difficult time. Only after he passes it on to his own daughter does he discover that the lion's strong heart is in fact a single gold nugget.

Pressed by his now grown son and his grand-daughter, Cubby, William Caspertstone struggles to recall the details. How did that nugget end up inside the stuffed animal?

Ailing in a assisted-living home, William does not have much time. What he does have is a tall tale, marred by feeble memories and mingled with an active imagination. It is a fantastic story about how his search for gold in the Black Hills turned into a pursuit of the beautiful seamstress, Cassidy Croft, and how that journey brought him to the gospel.

William and his son, both widowers, make a meaningful bond as the tale turns from the gold, to the girl, to the gospel. Their bond is based on the struggles they share as well as the good news of the gospel and how it found each of them, empty handed with nothing less to chase.

All the World’s Gold is a christian fiction novella with touches of fantasy and romance, but the treasure of it's story is about men learning the true extent of their own depravity and the true extent of the good news.

The Gold

At the age of nine William Casperstone has no interest in girls or the gospel. He leaves home with the child-like dream of finding gold in the Black Hills.

The Girl

A decade in the mines gives William his gold, but no sooner than he finds it his eyes find another treasure, the kind nine-year-old's don't seek, but nineteen-year-old's do.

The Gospel

William discovers that true treasure cannot be dug out of the ground, or chased across prairies. Instead, it has been digging and chasing after him all his life.
